THE GREAT BRAIN ROBBERY PAPERBACK – SPECIAL EDITION!

THE GREAT BRAIN ROBBERY PAPERBACK – SPECIAL EDITION! 2000 1124 88admin

The paperback edition of The Great Brain Robbery hits UK bookshelves on 2nd April this year, and I was one of the first to see finished copies at the printer’s in Kent last week. But this edition hides a few sneaky extras under its gorgeous cover…

Speaking of the cover, why not take a moment to bask in its sparkly red glory? It’s once again been designed by Katharine Millichope at Usborne, with artwork by Flavia Sorrentino, and I think it’s my favourite of the series so far. (At least until Book 3 comes out, but that’s a post for another time.)

The paperback will be available at all good bookshops and online retailers (plus a few supermarkets, including Sainsbury’s), but if you head to your local independent bookshop you’ll find a special exclusive “indie edition” with some added extras in the back.

Chief among these is an extract from The Knowledge, the handbook that helps Suzy and Wilmot navigate the perils of being a Postie in the Impossible Places. It was a lot of fun to write, and I hope it raises a few chuckles. You’ll also find Stonker’s guide to storytelling, with step by step advice on how to spin a good yarn. Handy when you’re trying to entertain your friends. (Or write a book!) As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also learn everything you never realised you needed to know about socks. Oh, and someone might have scribbled his signature on the title page. (Sorry about that.)

14th September 2019 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm BST

I’m holding a launch party for my new book, The Great Brain Robbery! It’s a free, family-friendly event with lots of activities, a few giveaways, and a shiny enamel Impossible Postal Service badge for every reader. Plus, your first chance to get hold of the book itself, of course. So if you’re in Cardiff this weekend, feel free to drop by. It would be great to see you.
